Jim Northey

Jim and his wife Sonia Goltz and their family have lived in the
Copper Country for 26 years. He brings a wealth of IT experience to the
organization gained from his career developing financial technology
standards and solutions for exchanges, brokerages, and trading firms.
Jim is now the CTO of CalcGuard Technologies, Inc. a Michigan based
provider of financial technology to major brokerages and investment
managers globally. Jim also serves on the boards of directors of
Keweenaw Financial Corporation, The Angel Mission, Keweenaw Land Trust,
and FIX Protocol Ltd.

Jim and Sonia have worked crossings on day
three of the race in the recent past and also have helped with taking
down the fencing and banners at the race start/finish in downtown
Calumet

Bernard Kluskens

Bernard is a graduate of Michigan Tech (BS: Computer Network and System Administration) (MS: Cybersecurity: Network Security Management Track (NSM)). During his time at Tech, Kluskens competed on the varsity cross country and track teams. He also served as president of the Copper Country Track Club (CCTC) and IT Oxygen student enterprise. Kluskens is employed at the US Naval Research Laboratory where he is responsible for network design, implementation, automation, and VoIP. He currently serves on the CyberCorps Advisory Board at Michigan Tech.
 

In 2019, Bernard joined the “IT Support” group for the CopperDog and with his love of the Copper Country finds that it draws him closer to the Keweenaw. He hopes to one day return to Keweenaw and Northern Wisconsin.
